follows:

Unit 2 - Legal Aspects of Letting and Management

Studying
You can study for the Technical Award in the comfort
of your home or office, using open learning materials, or by
supported distance learning facilitated by our preferred technical
award supplier MOL. This means that you can take advantage of
flexible learning which can fit into your
lifestyle.
To purchase the learning materials please call MOL
on 0161 203 2103.
It will usually take 130 hours to prepare for a Technical
Award. As a general guide, we expect that those who have been
working within property agency for some time may need fewer hours
of study whereas those who are new to the profession may need
more. However these are benchmarks only as it is entirely
dependent upon the learner, their learning style and their previous
knowledge.
Examinations
The Technical Award is divided into 4 Units and each Unit is
assessed by a multiple-choice exam which is taken on a computer at
a test centre. Each exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions
which must be answered within 30 minutes.
When you have completed your studies and are ready to sit the
examinations you need to register as a learner with the
NFoPP Awarding Body and once approved you can book your examination
either on line or via telephone with Pearson Vue (telephone: 0161
8557 537).
To use the on-line booking system you will need to login to you
account using the username beginning with a 'Q'.
Examinations can be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance,
depending on the centre availability. Re-sits, if required can
be booked using the online booking system 10 days after your last

The online booking system gives candidates the choice of the

How long will the Qualification take?
This really depends on how you undertake the study necessary and
if you have previous experience in agency. Although you do not have
to be employed or have previous experience within agency you will
find your studies more relevant and maybe easier than if you have
no experience. Please refer to the syllabus in order to determine
what knowledge you already hold relevant to the qualification.
If your first pass in 1 or more Units was achieved via the
e-assessment method you have 12 months from
achieving this pass in which to complete all 4 Units of the
qualification.
If you fail to achieve a pass in all 4 units within the relevant
timescale you will need to re-start the qualification.
Results and Certification
Each Unit has a pass mark of 65%. You will be notified of your
provisional results at the test centre immediately after finishing
your exams. A formal confirmation of your results will be
posted to you at the address provided during the initial booking
process. These results letters are typically posted out on
the Monday of the week commencing after the week in which you
attended your exam. A full qualification certificate will be
issued within four weeks of completion of all four units.
